Ordering a server takes a few minutes. You choose a plan, set up the server, sign in, and choose how to start. This guide walks through each step.
Choose a plan
Plans come in two ranges. Performance is for modpacks and more demanding worlds. Budget is for a smaller server. Each range comes in several memory sizes.
- Not sure how much memory you need? Use Help me choose on the home page, or read how much RAM a Minecraft server needs.
- Want a modpack? Start from its page in Modpacks. The plan we suggest for it is shown there, and the modpack is already chosen when you order.
Choose a plan to go to its order page.
Step 1: Your server
- Memory: change the size here if you need to.
- Billing period: pay monthly, or yearly to save.
- Service name: what the server is called in your client area. Only you see it.
- Edition: Java or Bedrock.
- Server software and version: for Java, choose Vanilla, Paper, Purpur, Folia, Spigot, Fabric, Forge or NeoForge, and the Minecraft version. You can change both later from your server's Startup tab without losing your world.
If you came from a modpack's page, the modpack is shown here instead of the software.
Step 2: Your account
Sign in if you already have an account. If not, create one on the same page.
Step 3: How would you like to start?
- 48-hour free trial, where it's offered: your server is set up straight away and costs nothing. When the trial ends, the server pauses until you pay to keep it. If you don't, it's removed after a further 7 days. There's one free trial per account.
- Card / PayPal: you pay through Stripe's secure checkout. The plan renews automatically, and you can cancel any time.
- Bank transfer: we email you an invoice. Pay it within 7 days using your account reference, and your server is set up as soon as the payment clears.
Tick the box to have the service start straight away, then choose Start free trial, Continue to secure checkout or Place order.
After you order
Your server is set up automatically. It appears under Services in your client area with its address to share with your friends. Open it to reach the console, the file manager, backups, schedules and your server's Startup settings.
Next, see how to make a Minecraft server for setting it up, or how to install Fabric mods.
