- Works with
- Fabric, Forge, NeoForge
What it does
On a normal server, the first player to find a dungeon or temple takes all the loot and everyone after finds empty chests. Lootr gives every player their own copy of each loot chest, barrel and minecart chest. Each person opens it and gets their own roll.
It only affects chests that generate with loot. Chests players place and fill themselves work normally.
Install
- Install it from the Mods tab, for your loader and Minecraft version.
- Restart.
Players need it too, because Lootr's chests are their own block.
On an existing world
Lootr converts loot chests in structures as their chunks load, so it works on worlds that already exist. Chests that were already opened before you installed it have no loot table left to give, so they stay as they were.
Breaking Lootr chests
Breaking a Lootr chest removes it for everyone, not just you. Lootr's config file, in the config folder, has settings for who can break them.
Common problems
Players can't join after adding it: they need Lootr installed too, the same version.
Chests look normal: they convert when their chunk loads. Already-looted chests from before Lootr was added aren't converted.
Questions
Does it work with modded structures?
Yes, as long as the structure's chests use loot tables, which almost all do.
Can players still steal from each other's chests?
Lootr only changes generated loot chests. Use a claims plugin or mod to protect chests players build.
