What it does
Farmer's Delight expands farming and food: new crops (rice, tomatoes, cabbages, onions), a cooking pot and skillet, cutting boards, and dozens of meals that give better effects than vanilla food. It's designed to look and feel like part of vanilla.
A large set of add-ons builds on it, adding more crops, cuisines and compatibility with other mods.
Install
- Install it from the Mods tab, for your loader and Minecraft version.
- Restart.
Every player needs it too, since it adds blocks and items. A modpack keeps everyone in step.
On Fabric, use the Farmer's Delight Refabricated port, which is a separate project.
Common problems
Players can't join after you add it: they need the same version on their own game. See mismatched mod list.
Add-ons crash at startup: check each add-on's Farmer's Delight version requirement. A "missing dependency" error says which version it wants. See missing dependencies.
Performance
Light. It adds blocks and recipes rather than heavy ongoing work.
Questions
Does Farmer's Delight work with vanilla clients?
No. It adds new blocks and items, so every player needs the mod.
Can I add it to an existing world?
Yes. Wild crops such as rice and tomatoes appear in newly generated chunks, so players may need to explore new areas to find them.
