What it does
ModernFix fixes a long list of inefficiencies in Minecraft and mod loaders. The biggest wins are on large modpacks: less memory used, faster startup and quicker world loading. Many modpacks already include it.
Install
Install it from the Mods tab for your loader and Minecraft version, and restart. No setup needed.
It helps on both the server and players' games, but players don't need it to join.
Why it matters for servers
Modpacks with hundreds of mods can use a lot of memory before anyone joins. ModernFix often brings that down noticeably, which can mean the difference between a pack fitting your plan and crashing with OutOfMemoryError.

If something breaks
ModernFix's changes can each be turned off in config/modernfix-mixins.properties. If a crash names a ModernFix mixin, set that one to false and restart. Check the mod's wiki for known conflicts first.
Questions
Is ModernFix safe on an existing world?
Yes. It doesn't change world data, only how the game runs.
My modpack already has it. Do I need to add it?
No. Check the mods folder before installing, so you don't end up with two copies.
