CoreProtect is a fast, efficient, data logging and anti-griefing tool designed for Minecraft servers. It allows administrators to track block changes, container interactions, and player activity, providing the ability to rollback or restore any amount of damage.

Built with large servers in mind, CoreProtect manages data logging without impacting your server performance. It is compatible with Bukkit, Folia, Paper, Purpur, and Spigot, supporting Minecraft versions 1.14.1 through 1.16.4.

Installing CoreProtect

On AwakeNode

  1. Log in to your AwakeNode panel and navigate to your server.
  2. Open the Plugin Installer from the sidebar.
  3. Search for 'CoreProtect', select it, and click Install.
  4. Restart your server to finalise the installation.

On other hosts / manually

  1. Download the latest CoreProtect jar file from the official Modrinth page.
  2. Connect to your server via SFTP or use your host's File Manager.
  3. Upload the file into the /plugins directory.
  4. Restart your server to generate the configuration files.

Common issues

  • Plugin not loading: Ensure you are running a compatible server software such as Paper, Spigot, or Folia. Check the console logs for specific version mismatch errors.
  • Database errors: If you encounter database connection issues, ensure your server has sufficient disk space, as CoreProtect logs can grow significantly over time.
  • Commands not working: Verify that you have granted yourself the necessary permissions (e.g., coreprotect.help, coreprotect.inspect) via your permissions plugin like LuckPerms.

Performance

CoreProtect is highly optimised for performance, but logging activity on a very busy server will naturally increase disk I/O usage. To keep your server running smoothly, ensure your server has adequate RAM for your player count. If you are experiencing lag, consider checking your disk health or upgrading your plan to one with faster NVMe storage. Note that you cannot manually edit JVM startup flags on AwakeNode; if you believe your server requires specific tuning, please open a support ticket and our team will assist you.
