VeinMiner

VeinMiner is a popular utility plugin that allows players to mine an entire vein of ore or blocks by breaking a single block. It transforms the often tedious mining experience into a fast, satisfying, and efficient gameplay mechanic.

It is highly versatile, supporting a wide range of loaders including Paper, Spigot, Folia, Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, Quilt, and Datapacks, across Minecraft versions 1.17 through 1.20.1.

Installing VeinMiner

On AwakeNode

1. Log in to your Pterodactyl panel and navigate to the Plugin Installer.
2. Search for "VeinMiner" and click Install.
3. Restart your server to apply the changes.

On other hosts / manually

1. Download the correct version of VeinMiner for your server loader (e.g., Paper, Fabric, Forge) from Modrinth.
2. Access your server files via SFTP or the File Manager.
3. Upload the file to your plugins folder (for Bukkit/Paper/Spigot/Folia) or mods folder (for Fabric/Forge/NeoForge/Quilt).
4. Restart your server.

Common issues

• Plugin not loading: Ensure you have downloaded the version compatible with your specific server software (e.g., do not put a Paper plugin in a Forge mods folder).
• VeinMiner not activating: Check that the player has the correct permissions assigned via your permissions plugin (e.g., LuckPerms).
• Blocks not breaking: Ensure the specific block type is included in the configuration file if the plugin requires manual block list definitions.

Performance

VeinMiner is generally lightweight, but mining massive veins can cause momentary CPU spikes as the server processes multiple block breaks simultaneously. If you notice lag during mining, ensure your server has sufficient RAM for your player count. If your server is underpowered, consider upgrading your plan; on AwakeNode, your RAM allocation updates automatically without manual configuration.
