Multiverse-Core

Multiverse-Core is the essential world management plugin for Minecraft servers running Bukkit, Paper, Purpur, or Spigot. It allows server administrators to create, manage, and teleport between multiple worlds seamlessly.

Supporting versions from 1.13 through 1.16, this plugin is the industry standard for handling custom world generation and complex server transportation systems.

Installing Multiverse-Core

On AwakeNode

1. Navigate to your server in the AwakeNode panel.
2. Click the Plugin Installer tab.
3. Search for "Multiverse-Core" and click Install.
4. Restart your server to complete the installation.

On other hosts / manually

1. Download the latest Multiverse-Core jar file from Modrinth.
2. Use an SFTP client (like FileZilla) to connect to your server.
3. Upload the file to the /plugins directory.
4. Restart your server to generate the configuration files.

Common issues

• Plugin not loading: Ensure your server is running a compatible loader (Bukkit, Paper, Purpur, or Spigot) and that you are using a supported Minecraft version (1.13 - 1.16).
• World generation errors: If you are using custom world generators, ensure they are compatible with your specific version of Multiverse-Core.
• Permission errors: Multiverse requires a permissions plugin (like LuckPerms) to allow players to use teleportation commands.

Performance

Multiverse-Core is generally lightweight, but running many worlds simultaneously can increase RAM usage and CPU load, especially during chunk generation. To maintain performance, ensure your server has sufficient RAM for the number of active worlds. If you experience lag, consider pre-generating your worlds using a world border plugin to reduce CPU spikes during exploration. If you require more resources, you can upgrade your plan via the AwakeNode panel; your RAM allocation will update automatically without needing manual configuration.
