Installing EssentialsX

On AwakeNode

1. Navigate to your server in the AwakeNode panel and select the Plugin Installer.
2. Search for "EssentialsX" and click Install.
3. Restart your server to load the plugin.

On other hosts / manually

1. Download the latest EssentialsX jar files from the official Modrinth page.
2. Connect to your server via SFTP and navigate to the /plugins directory.
3. Upload the jar files to the folder.
4. Restart your server to complete the installation.

Common issues

• Plugin not loading: Ensure you are running a compatible server type (Paper, Spigot, or Bukkit) and that your Minecraft version is between 1.8.8 and 1.18.2.
• Commands not working: Check that you have the necessary permissions set up in your permissions plugin (e.g., LuckPerms).
• Economy not syncing: Ensure you have a compatible economy provider installed, such as Vault, which is required for EssentialsX economy features to function.

Performance

EssentialsX is highly optimised, but running many modules simultaneously can impact resource usage. If you notice high CPU usage, ensure you are using a modern version of Paper. If you are experiencing lag due to memory constraints, consider upgrading your hosting plan; on AwakeNode, your server will automatically receive the correct RAM allocation without needing to manually edit startup flags.
